A Bunch of Wallies.

A Bunch of Wallies was a music band in Only Fools And Horses formed by Mental Mickey and whom Rodney Trotter was a member of.

History[]

1985[]

Rodney was part of the band. He was on drums, and Mickey was the lead vocalist. 2 others named Stew and Charlie were on guitar. Mickey was known as Mental Mickey due to his fiery nature and occasional violence. Del Boy offered to be their manager and arranged a gig at The Shamrock Club. A huge fight ensued, and later on, Rodney was kicked out of the band due to a row with Mental Mickey. Rodney had defended Del Boy against Mickey so was chucked out. Del said they were never going to make it big time. However, A Bunch of Wallies were on Top of The Pops a week later with their hit "Boys will be Boys".

After 1985[]

According to both Del Boy's 2015 autobiography He Who Dares and the 2016 book The Peckham Archives, A Bunch of Wallies' popularity quickly faded after their one hit "Boys Will Be Boys" and their only appearance on TOTP, due to Mickey beating up the replacement drummer Eric for telling him what to do.
